WMAAA Scholarship Program
The WMAAA Scholarship Program is intended to champion Asian American high school seniors and college students who intend to pursue further education.
Details
- WMAAA will select Asian American scholars and volunteers to receive educational scholarships.
- All interested applicants, including those who were not selected for financial support, will be offered the opportunity to access mentorship from a local Asian professional.
Qualifications
The WMAAA is seeking Asian American scholars and volunteers with academic achievements and/or community involvement from local West Michigan high schools, colleges and vocational programs to apply for the scholarship.
Applicants will submit:
- A resume (include high school / college name, major and GPA)
- A proposal to address a local community need (At least ONE of the following can be submitted: a maximum of two-page, double-spaced essay; a maximum of 3 minute video; 3 minute audio file; or other digital files are possible)
OR
- An essay related to their personal experiences of diversity and/or volunteerism in their community (At least ONE of the following can be submitted: a maximum of two-page, double-spaced essay; a maximum of 3 minute video; 3 minute audio file; or other digital files are possible)
Special consideration for applicants with financial need will be prioritized.
Deadlines
- Recipients will be notified by the WMAAA Scholarship Committee of selections by April 19, 2024.
